At Howatt HR, we call talking about intentionally impacting mental health mental fitness. This is the intentional action of engaging in prosocial skills that support mental health and help-seeking behaviours in times of need and mitigating the risk of engaging in at-risk coping skills that may appear to be helping in the short term but over the long term can lead to more serious problems. Improved mental fitness leads to improved coping skills.
