The CMHO collaborates across the organization to enhance the employee experience and develop high-performance teams. The CMHO’s mission is to help senior leadership mitigate mental harm risks and promote resilience, enabling the organization to achieve its full potential.
- Identify psychosocial factors that influence the employee experience and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Provide strategies to mitigate risks of burnout, stress, and fatigue to reduce mental harm and associated losses (e.g., disability claims).
- Recommend policies and programs to foster positive mental health and prevent mental harm.
- Collaborate with HR partners to analyze data, plan strategically for mental health initiatives, and train leaders in creating a psychologically safe environment.
- Implement recommendations based on business experience and leading OHS practices, such as the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety Z1008 or ISO 45003.
